The “It” Color For 2015 Is…

I am in love….with a color. A color so rich, so sophisticated, so subtly seductive! Marsala to be exact, which happens to be the Pantone 2015 #ColorOfTheYear. A brownish, brick-like red, Marsala is perfect as a stand alone color or used as an accent.

Here is what the color gurus over at Pantone have to say:

“The impactful, full-bodied qualities of Marsala make for an elegant, grounded statement color when used on its own or as a strong accent to many other colors.”

“Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness.”

“Add elegance to any room by incorporating this rich and welcoming hue in accent pieces, accessories and paint. Marsala’s plush characteristics are enhanced when the color is applied to textured surfaces, making it an ideal choice for rugs and upholstered living room furniture.”

Good news is you don’t have to wait until the new year to try this awesome color out! Check out my picks below and let us know how you are going to rock Marsala in the new year!
